#WhyWednesday: Elise Gelwicks
We are delighted to continue our #WhyWednesday series with Elise Gelwicks!
#WhyWednesday is a weekly feature of a leader that is involved in our organization. A “why” is the reason they decided to become involved with Female Strong, what female empowerment and leadership mean to them, or why they do what they do.
Elise Gelwicks is the founder of Eleview Consulting. She’s spent the last decade specializing in helping companies quickly get their young professionals integrated into their teams so they can add immediate, maximum value. She’s worked with companies such as Abbott, Sidley Austin, Citi, and Kellogg’s through custom-designed professional development workshops.
Elise has been featured in ABC News and the New York Times for her work and teaches LinkedIn Learning courses on career acceleration and networking.
Check out this ABC News feature of Elise, as she discusses how COVID-19 is impacting college students and shares tips for what they can do if they suddenly find themselves out of an internship or job.
We are so honored to have her as a founding member of the new Young Professionals Board at Female Strong. Their inaugural event, Level Up Your Network, is a virtual event for young female professionals who want to intentionally build relationships with those at similar stages in their careers.
What is Your “Why,” Elise?
I’m passionate about bridging the gap between the generations in today’s workforce. By making nuanced interpersonal skills concrete, more young professionals will be set up for long-term success.
